Pull à dragons ... Dragon sweater

Enfin quelqu'un qui apprécie mes créations: le Petit Loup est enchanté de son nouveau pull à dragons, avec manches et capuche à nuages. Tissus imprimés à partir de mes dessins chez Spoonflower, sur coton jersey organic (d'excellente qualité et tout doux, quoique peut-être un peu chaud pour des vêtements d'été).

Une excuse parfaite aussi pour tester ma nouvelle surjeteuse, achetée il y a 6 mois, mais avec laquelle je n'ai pas encore vraiment eu le temps de me familiariser. L'overlock avec belle coupe nette, ça fait gagner un temps fou. Temps de réalisation du pull: une heure et des poussières. Ça donne envie de recommencer très vite.

Finally someone who enjoys my creations: the petit Loup is thrilled with his new dragons sweater, with sleeves and hood with a cloudy pattern. The fabrics have been printed by Spoonflower from my designs, on organic cotton knit (of excellent quality and super soft, albeit maybe a bit too warm for Summer clothes).

An excellent excuse to test my new serger, bought 6 months ago and with which I haven't really had a chance to befriend. The overlock with a neat cut, such a gain of time. Time to make the sweater: just about an hour. Makes me want start again very soon.

Chenilles ... Caterpillars

Encore une histoire d'imprimé, pour un autre concours de Spoonflower sur le thème "Bugs". Les couleurs pétantes ont fait hurler le grand Loup à l'arrivée du tissu, mais une fois coupé, c'est pas si terrible. Je déconseille tout de même de porter la robe et le pantalon en même temps, ou c'est l'indigestion assurée.

Réaction de l'intéressée (le petite Puce): classique, elle se roule par terre. Mais je la sens très intriguée par les chenilles, encore quelques jours et elle sera prête pour l'essayage. Au moins elle va être facile à repérer dans le bac a sable.

Taille 2-3 ans. Et pour ceux qui trouvent que les couleurs sont vraiment trop acidulées, une version plus tranquille est en route.

Another story of prints, for another Spoonflower contest on the theme "Bugs". The flashy colors had the big Loup scream when the fabric arrived, but once cut, it's not that bad. I still would advise against wearing both the dress and the pants together, or you'll get a serious headache.

Reaction of the lucky winner (the petit Puce): the usual, she rolled on the floor. But I feel her quite intrigued by the caterpillars, a few more days and she'll be ready to try them on. At least she won't be hard to spot in the sandbox.

Size T2-3. And for those who think that the colors are really too strong, a more pastel version is on its way.

Autres essais d'imprimés, avec des dragons cette fois. J'ai fait tirer les dragons oranges sur fond bleu sur un jersey en coton organic de chez Spoonflower. J'attends quelques heures de libres pour en faire un pull pour le petit Loup de 3 ans.

Other print tests, with dragons this time. I had the orange dragons on blue background printed on organic cotton knit at Spoonflower. I'm anxiously waiting for a few hours of free time to make a sweater for the petit Loup (3 year old).

Terres mongoles ... Mongolian steppes

C'est parti d'une image qui me plaisait, que j'ai dessinée assez rapidement, puis que j'ai combinée avec d'autres éléments pour le concours "Toile de Jouy" de Spoonflower. Au final, je n'ai pas gagné, et de loin (y'a des gens vraiment doués qui participent), mais je suis tout de même très contente du résultat sur tissu.

It all started with a picture I liked, which I drew quite quickly, and then combined with a couple of other elements for the Spoonflower contest "Toile de Jouy". At the end, I didn't win, and far from it (there're really talented people out there), but I'm still very happy with the result.
